Multiple community reports, Specsavers offers a home visit service for people who can’t visit a store. Whilst is does not appear to be policy and therefore please check with your store before going ahead, it seems that the opticians delivering this service are used to visiting vulnerable people and are happy to accommodate with masking.
This entry does not relate to in store examinations where we have not as yet had any reports of positive experiences – but equally have only had a small number of negative experiences. The local stores are run with some autonomy so definitely worth calling to check.
Note: Specsavers engaged with SI via social media to “investigate” a post saying staff still attend work if testing positive. Despite a yes/no question – is this true or not – the response we received was just a paragraph about following guidance and doing risk assessments. Not known how this may relate to the at home team but this clearly needs discussing when booking an appointment.
