I’ve spoken to the dentist and they are happy to wear the FFP3 mask, however, they did make me aware that the mask only protects the dentist / nurse as it prevents what is coming in, not what is going out. We generally have the windows open during treatment and all clinical staff wear masks and gloves during treatment. We have a very thorough cross-infection lead and follow all protocol to a high standard.”
Full response included above, obviously a great caring practice. We don’t know if the comment about the mask is just lack of understanding or reflects that they have for some reason decided to use FFP3s with an outlet valve. If you have experience please leave a review.
