I am a HCPC registered Educational Psychologist offering in-person appointments as well as virtual consultations.
I work one to one with clients in a well-ventilated office with a HEPA filter. While assessments are usually carried out in-person with children and young people, all pre and post-assessment parental consultations are completed via telephone or video call. In some cases, assessments can be carried out entirely remotely, and I am happy to consider this on a case by case basis.
I inform clients in advance that I will be wearing a mask, and I ask that booked appointments are rescheduled if anyone in the household has shown symptoms of illness in the 10 days prior to their appointment. I do not charge a cancellation fee, even if the appointment is cancelled on the day.
I test prior to every assessment, and I would not carry out a face to face appointment if I was testing positive or showing symptoms of illness, or if I had been in contact with anyone who was known to have tested positive.
I am also happy to discuss any further safety measures which clients may wish to have in place.
