Safe Inside Research – detailed email response from new patient team:
I can confirm that some of our dental surgeons and nurses do wear FFP3 masks during dental treatment.
We have however had new dental surgeons start and I am unsure whether they have been fit tested for the masks that we currently stock.
If you are interested in becoming a patient here I advise to fill in the online New Patient enquiry from on our website and make clear in there about the use of FFP3 masks. I am in charge of allocating New Patient appointments so I can help accommodate as best as possible.
Please be aware that our waiting list is quite long, I’m hopeful that I can be offering appointment dates soon. We are having the practice extended so we will have appointments available during late summer. .
I hope this has been of some help to you, any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me on 01584 878439 or email.Â
Kind Regards
Lisa Crook
SI note – lack of fit test on a FFP3 is irrelevant if the alternative is an equally non fit tested surgical mask. In general the fact that this surgery still has and uses FFP3 masks is extremely positive compared to most places and it is likely they would have no problem doing other small things like opening windows or offering first appointments.
