Research call May 2024
- Not a generally Covid cautious practice, staff wear surgical masks and no HEPA or ventilation
- Happy to open window before appointment is asked
- Dentists do have respirators they wear for ‘aerosole generating procedures’ – so may be willing to switch, worth asking
- Customer reports having taken in personal HEPA and this having been accommodated in a friendly manner
Note have indicated happy to mask if asked – but this needs to be confirmed when booking

Window in consultation room was open when I arrived and the dentist and assistant wore surgical masks during check up, as per my requests. Ventilation and air quality were good (CO2 <750ppm). No concerns about me using a portable HEPA filter.
However, windows cannot be opened in all consultation rooms and ventilation was poor on a previous visit (CO2 ~1400ppm) leading to my treatment being abandoned and a somewhat defensive reaction from the dentist. The practice were happy to rebook me in a different room with a different dentist.
Overall, the practice is taking basic precautions when asked and hopefully can build on these.
