Community customer experience, exceptional response
“I called them to ask what precautions they can put in place for immunocompromised patients and this is what they told me:
– you can wait in your car so you don’t have to be in the waiting area with other patients and staff will come out and get you when it’s your turn
– HEPA air purifier will be running in the treatment room
– dentist, nurse, hygienist etc happy to wear FFP3 masks in the treatment room
– there is a ground floor treatment room which is wheelchair accessible
– happy to offer first appointment of morning or afternoon
Receptionist was very friendly and helpful when I called”

Really great experience at Bay House.
The receptionist was super friendly and helpful, and really did her best to make sure everything was as I needed it to be when I explained my safety needs.
I booked the first appointment of the afternoon, and waited in my car until the dental nurse came out to get me. The treatment room is at the back of the building and is accessible directly from the car park. The dental nurse and dentist were both masked in unvalved FFP3s (3M Auras), there is a Viruskiller brand airpurifier with UV and an extractor fan in the room, and the door to the car park was wide open letting in air.
When I asked the dentist to make sure nobody entered the room while I was in there unmasked, he put a doorstop under the door to ensure this, and stepped out into the car park via the open door to operate the xray machine, rather than stepping out into the corridor. The dentist also did my checkup extremely quickly as he understood I wanted to minimise the time I spent there unmasked.
My appointment was nearly two weeks ago and I am infection free, so all in all, an excellent experience which lived up to everything they said they would do. I’m so happy that I’ll be able to safely have regular dental checkups from now on.
